FAQs
Are your CMTE credits pre-approved by CBMT?
Yes! Every course on this site offers CMTE (Continuing Music Therapy Education) credits that are pre-approved by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
Please note: Credits must be submitted under Music for Kiddos, Inc., approved provider #P-196, as CMTEs for MTs is owned and operated by Music for Kiddos, Inc.
I’m not a music therapist. Can I still take these courses?
Yes! Anyone is welcome to take these courses.
Educators, therapists, and other professionals will receive a certificate of completion for each finished course. While many participants have successfully submitted these certificates for professional development credit, we cannot guarantee approval by your specific licensing or certification board.
How long do I have to complete the courses for credit?
As long as the course is active with CBMT, you can complete it and submit for credit. Most of our courses remain available indefinitely, but a few—like the Music for Kiddos Symposium—are only accessible for one year. We recommend completing any course within one year of purchase to ensure it’s still active and eligible for CMTE credit.
A course is active if it’s available for purchase on our site. It’s inactive if it’s been removed.
How do I receive my CMTE or PD certificate?

Complete all course videos
Attend the live Q&A (or watch the replay, if applicable)
