About the course
Authentically Supporting Autistic Youth is a 6-credit continuing education course designed to help therapists and educators deepen their understanding of neurodiversity, sharpen their equity lens, and put neurodiversity-affirming principles into practice to authentically support Autistic youth.
The course covers foundational concepts of neurodiversity, affirming approaches to music therapy and music education, and offers a wealth of supplementary resources for continued learning. Above all, it provides a practical framework for supporting youth while actively working to dismantle ableism.

Kat Harhai (she/her)
Kat Harhai (she/her) is a facilitator, educator, writer, neurodiversity advocate and proponent of disability justice. Her work is rooted in her own lived experience, and she is a big believer in the long-held disability justice mantra, “nothing about us without us”.
